Vest Karmøy Sjømannsforening is a maritime association founded in 2004 that brings together sailors and maritime enthusiasts for social, professional, and cultural activities. The association organizes meetings, lectures, discussions, and events such as the annual fish competition, participation in the 17 May celebrations, and operates a daily coffee shop at the harbor in Åkrehamn. It currently has over 320 members and seeks to acquire its own premises at the harbor.
