Vestvågøy Røde Kors is the local branch of the Norwegian Red Cross in Vestvågøy, providing humanitarian support and social inclusion activities in the community. The association maintains a volunteer rescue corps on call for emergencies, runs a thrift shop that serves both as a reuse outlet and a social/integration meeting place, organizes free holiday stays for families with long-term low income, operates a visiting service to combat loneliness and social exclusion, conducts an annual Christmas aid campaign for vulnerable residents, and hosts a monthly language café in cooperation with local partners. Their work is largely volunteer-driven, and they actively recruit volunteers and members to sustain and develop these services.
