Norsk nukleær dekommisjonering (NND) is a Norwegian government agency tasked with the safe operation, decommissioning and dismantling of Norway’s historic nuclear research facilities, the construction of new storage and disposal sites for radioactive waste, and the management of radioactive waste from decommissioning and other industrial sources. It oversees the Halden and Kjeller reactors, the KLDRA low‑ and intermediate‑level waste repository, and the cleanup of the Søve mines, working under a state‑funded budget to ensure long‑term environmental safety.
