Solund Sogelag is a local history society founded on 31 January 2001. Its purpose is to promote interest in genealogy, local history and cultural heritage, collect and preserve material of value for the municipality's parish, and document the living conditions of people over time. The society is a member of the National Association for Local History and operates a writing committee that gathers material, conducts interviews, searches archives, and produces texts for future parish histories, using the Solund archive for illustrations.
