The Norsk Militærjuridisk Forening (Norwegian Military Law Association) is the Norwegian branch of the International Society for Military Law and the Law of War. Its purpose is to promote the study of military law and the law of armed conflict, conduct research aimed at harmonising internal legal systems with international law, and advance legal rules that protect human rights. The association’s activities are scholarly, with members primarily consisting of military lawyers, university and research representatives, prosecutors, attorneys, humanitarian organizations, and the armed forces. Membership is by application.
