Venner av UPLIFT is a Norwegian non‑profit that supports the Ugandan grassroots organization UPLIFT West Nile. Their mission is to empower the poorest communities in Uganda’s West Nile region—especially women—by providing adult literacy education, health knowledge, and gender equality initiatives. Since 2001, they have helped over 30,000 adults learn to read and write in their mother tongue, aiming to break the cycle of poverty through education and self‑reliance. The organization relies on voluntary contributions, with nearly all donations directed to program activities in Uganda.
